Iron Maiden Tour 'Legacy of the Beast' Coming to North America in 2019

Iron Maiden fans in North America can celebrate with good news and get ready for an epic tour in 2019. After a successful tour in Europe, the relentless rock band are packing their bags and bringing Legacy of the Beast tour to North America. The 34-date tour launches summer of 2019.

Kicking things off at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, the band begins their tour on July 18th and brings it to a close September 25th at AT&T Center in San Antonio. Originally starting in Europe, the tour made its debut last spring with an epic 16-song set bringing back hits from the past like “Flight of the Icarus,” “The Clansman,” and “Sign of the Cross,” all songs they hadn’t performed live for decades.

Production on the European tour didn’t take a backseat either, surprising fans with a large-scale World War II Spitfire plane that flew over the stage for a grand opening during the first song, “Aces High.” Some might say production was on fire with Bruce Dickinson shooting a flamethrower while performing “Flight of Icarus.” And as if that wasn’t enough he ended the night with a live sword-fight with band mascot, Eddie.

The band’s bass player, Steve Harris didn’t have to state the obvious at a press release saying, “We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well-balanced set mixing songs we haven’t played in many years like ‘Flight of Icarus,’ ‘Sign of the Cross’ and ‘The Clansman’ with songs we know the fans want to hear.”

As fans anticipate the North American tour, Iron Maiden is equally excited. “We’re excited to return to North America and share the Legacy of the Beast Tour with all our friends there!" says Dickinson.
