FOO FIGHTERS TOUR 2020 - FOR THEIR FANS NAMED AFTER THEIR VAN
The Foo Fighters are touring in 2020 and they're naming the shows after a van.
Yes, you read that right. The classic alternative rock band are about to embark on the The Van Tour 2020, which is named after the old Dodge van that the band toured around in, back in 1995, to launch their now legendary career. With shows set in many of the original cities that they performed in back then, the band will be playing larger venues than the clubs where they got their start. However, the band is looking at doing some surprise shows at some of those old venues which still exist today.
Those that attend The Van Tour 2020 will also be privy to seeing the preview of Dave Grohl's new documentary "What Drives Us," which will be, according to the press release, a "deep dive into what possesses a particular tribe of human beings to leave behind jobs, families, relationships and any semblance of sanity to climb into a busted-ass Econoline and take their music to the people -- or at least a dozen or so of them here and there. What Drives Us explores motivations, recounts personal anecdotes and explores the physical and psychological toll of touring in vans via interviews with members of van-tour veteran bands ranging from Black Flag and Dead Kennedys to Metallica and the Beatles, and many, many more."
