Released in October, 1984, Isolation was Toto's follow up album to their massive hit, Toto IV, which branded them as '80s pop music superstars. The only album to feature Fergie Fredericksen as the primary singer, Isolation failed to accomplish the success of Toto IV, although it did still reach Gold status and featured the band's highest charting mainstream rock single, Stranger in Town.
