UPDATE: BILLY JOEL POSTPONES ENTIRE 2025 TOUR
Back in March, I reported that Billy Joel had been forced to postpone his upcoming 2025 tour due to requiring a medical procedure and time for recovery, but that the shows that had been cancelled were, subsequently, rescheduled. Since that post, there's been an update and, unfortunately, it's not great news.
Today, May 23, 2025, it was announced that every show, including the previously rescheduled ones, have been cancelled, as Billy has been diagnosed with the rare brain condition, Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), which is caused by too much fluid in the brain. And according to Billy's Instagram page, his condition "has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance.” The social media post when on to say “Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period. Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health.”
For those who are holding tickets for any of the previously confirmed shows, including the rescheduled date, Billy's Instagram page has said you will be refunded in full.
