THE END OF THE ROAD...for KISS
Classic rock superstar band, KISS, have officially announced the final dates of their "End of the Road" Tour, officially putting an end to KISS' touring career.
The "End of the Road" tour was supposed to wrap up in 2020, but like everything else live music related and otherwise, it had to be put on hiatus due to the pandemic.
The revised version of the tour will begin on August 18, in Mansfield, Massachusetts and is booked through the October 9 concert, in Tampa, Florida. KISS has stated that a few more shows will be added, but those have yet to be either confirmed and/or announced.
Check out all of our KISS men's and women's fashion shirts here.
As to why the band is deciding to call it quits to touring all boils down to their outfits. The costumes and boots add a tremendous amount of weight to each band member, and they are simply getting to the point where it's too physically trying to keep performing. According to KISS founding member, Paul Stanley, "We've come to the conclusion that we can't continue [as a touring band]. It's not feasible. If we were wearing jeans and T-shirts, we could do this into our eighties or nineties, but we're carrying around 40 and 50 pounds of gear for a couple of hours. There's an age factor, which makes it more real for people who may have doubted the idea of the 'end of the road.'"
Tickets to the currently booked shows go on sale, on the Live Nation website, starting on Friday June 18. Here's the list of the shows the band has scheduled so far:
