ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME 2025: SELECTEES & SNUBS

Earlier this week, the legendary (and oftentimes controversial for true rock music fans) Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced who's being inducted into the 2025 class, and this year definitely includes a great deal of appropriate artists and of course some that rock fans might question.

The class of 2025 includes:

The Black Crowes
Mariah Carey
Chubby Checker
Joe Cocker
Billy Idol
Joy Division/New Order
Cyndi Lauper
Mana
Oasis
Outkast
Phish
Soundgarden
The White Stripes

As seems to be an annual occurrence, this list always features some surprises that one would have thought would have been inducted years ago including Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker and even Phish. And this list is not without its detractors who believe the snubs of this year's class far outweigh the eligibility of some of the inductees - artists that should have been inducted years ago, certainly long before artists such as Mariah Carey and Outkast, most of which are considered the foundation of classic rock.
