QUEEN TO TOUR NORTH AMERICA WITH ADAM LAMBERT
Classic rock band Queen have announced a North American tour with Adam Lambert for later this year.
The two superstars have toured together in the past, and this tour promises to be bigger and more ambitious than the last. Featuring two of the original Queen members, Sir Brian May and Roger Taylor, Adam Lambert will be taking over vocal duties for Queen's departed lead singer, Freddie Mercury. Beginning on October 4, in Baltimore, Maryland, the tour will end just over a month later, on November 12, in Los Angeles, CA. While the tour time seems short, the band has packed a lot of shows into those 39 days, with 8 additional shows just announced.
Lambert, the former American Idol contestant and successful singer-songwriter in his own right, partnered with Queen back in 2011 and has toured with the band extensively since then. He said of the upcoming tour, I can't wait to tour North America one more time with the Rhapsody tour alongside the two unbelievably talented legends that are Brian May and Roger Taylor." Guitarist Brian May added "Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious. Watch out, world."
