Released in September, 1998, the Celebrity Skin album was Hole's 3rd and final release. Departing from the grunge infused sounds of their first 2 albums and with both instrumental and song-writing contributions from The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan, the Celebrity Skin album went on to become Hole's most successful release due in large part to the hit songs, Celebrity Skin and Malibu.
