Keith Richards is Writing His First Children's Book
Considered by many to be a grandfather of rock 'n roll, Rolling Stones' guitarist, Keith Richards, a 5 time grandfather himself is about to have his first children's book published titled "Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar." The pictures for the book will be provided by Keith's daughter, Theodora.
The story, which is about the bond between grandfathers and their grandchildren, is inspired by Keith's relationship with his own grandfather, Theodore Augustus Dupree, of whom daughter Theodora is named after, and who instilled a deep love of music into Keith. The tale that inspired the book can be found in Keith's autobiography, "Life." Keith said “The bond, the special bond, between kids and grandparents is unique and should be treasured. This is a story of one of those magical moments. May I be as great a grandfather as Gus was to me.”
The book will be available to be purchased later this year, on September 9.
