Produced by Jeff Lynne of ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) and released in July 1991, Into the Great Wide Open was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' 8th studio album and featured two of their biggest hits, Learning to Fly and the Into the Great Wide Open title track. The album was well received both commercially and critically.
