This men's Ramones black tshirt spotlights the punk rock band's photograph which was shot and used for the album cover artwork, on the Ramones' debut studio release.
Reaching store shelves on April 23, 1976, Ramones' debut album, simply titled Ramones, was released by Sire Records and features one of the band's best known hits, Blitzkrieg Bop. Recorded, in a week, for a total of $6,400, each song, on Ramones, averages around 160 beats per minute and lasts roughly two and a half minutes, in duration. Ramones was not a commercially successful album, although it is highly regarded as igniting the punk rock sound, influencing such bands as Sex Pistols and The Clash, along with the heavy metal and grunge genres. It is highly ranked as one of the best albums in rock n roll history.
The artwork seen on the front cover of Ramones, featured here on this tee, is a photograph of the four band members shot against a building's brick wall, in New York City. The image was photographed by Punk magazine's Roberta Bayley, for a total cost of $125 and has become one of the most copied album covers in history.
