SEX PISTOLS TOURING NORTH AMERICA - NOW WITH ADDED SHOWS
Calling all the original punk rockers out there, the legendary, groundbreaking, genre defining band of the 1970s punk rock movement, the Sex Pistols, are touring North America!
While this may not come as news to some of you, the band has now added 4 additional shows to this tour.
Performing their only album, Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols in its entirety, along with a few other tracks they recorded before breaking up in 1978, the tour features the entire surviving original lineup of the Sex Pistols: Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook, with 1 notable exception, John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten). The band has scheduled a total of 16 cities they're going to be visiting, with a few of these consisting of multiple performances (see the entire list of dates, cities & venues below).
Taking over vocal duties for Mr. Lydon is Frank Carter who has been touring with the original surviving Pistols since 2024 and who is also the lead singer of another UK punk rock outfit, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. And while he's quite angry about the band touring without him, Johnny Rotten has declined to join his former bandmates, in anything Pistols related, and going so far as to say that the Sex Pistols with Frank Cater on lead vocals is nothing short of "karaoke."
The shows will commence in Dallas, TX, on September 16, at the Longhorn Ballroom, where the band held a legendary performance in 1978, shortly before dissolving as a band, and concluding the tour 31 days later, on October 17, at The Pearl, in Las Vegas.
