Ozzy Osbourne Discusses “No More Tours 2”
Ozzy Osbourne announces his final world tour!
Yep, Ozzy announced his retirement in the 90’s with his original “No More Tours”. “No More Tours 2,” which will last 2 years, will see Ozzy headlining dates in the United States, Mexico, South America, and Europe. Stone Sour will be the featured warm up on the first leg of the tour, starting in Jacksonville, Florida and ending in Las Vegas. Tickets for the U.S. dates go on sale February 17th, with pre-sales starting on Valentine’s Day.
Despite the title, Osbourne does not plan on retiring: “It's 'No More Tours,' so I'm just not doing world tours anymore. I'm still going to be doing gigs, but I'm not going on tour for six months at a time anymore. I'd like to spend some time at home."
Ozzy is prioritizing balance in his life and is eager to watch his grandchildren grow up, “I don’t want someone coming up the road and saying, ‘You said you’re not going to do it anymore.’ I’m not retiring. I’m just taking it easier on myself."
The band with which he’ll be touring will include long-time collaborator and guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Blasko, keyboardist Adam Wakeman, and drummer Tommy Clufetos. "Zakk and I are family," Osbourne told us. "He's been with me longer than any other guitar players. He's great and his playing just blows me away. He's so articulate now."
After the tour, Ozzy doesn’t plan on slowing down and is already making plans and writing for a new album. "It's what I do," he says matter-of-factly. "It's my job. And when I say, 'It's my job,' I mean it's a passion for me. It's the greatest love affair I ever had, being in a rock band and playing for the people who come to the shows."
