Billy Joel has been performing at Madison Square Garden once a month since January 2014, and is doing select dates worldwide in 2018.

In December 2013, Billy Joel became Madison Square Garden’s first music franchise. Since January of 2014, each show at MSG has been sold out. As one of the most popular recording artists of all time, Billy has sold 150 million records, hit the Top 40 thirty-three consecutive times, and is the sixth best-selling recording artist and third best-selling solo artist in history.

Additional Billy Joel Milestones

In 2016, the Library of Congress chose “Piano Man”, released in November of 1973, for inclusion in the National Recording Registry for historic preservation due to its “cultural, historic, and artistic significance.” In February of this year, the one millionth ticket for his Madison Square Garden show was sold.
