This Grateful Dead concert tshirt is from the classic jam band's New Year's Eve 1978 performance for the closing of the Winterland Ballroom, in San Francisco, CA. Owned and operated by famed music promoter, Bill Graham, the Winterland hosted performances by many of the best known rock bands, of all time. The Grateful Dead's performance on New Year's Eve 1978 was the final performance at the Winterland, before it closed permanently. Their concert was recorded, documented and released on DVD and CD, titled The Closing of Winterland.
