Released in early June, 1986, Invisible Touch is the 13th studio album from Genesis. It became and remains, the most successful album for the classic progressive rock band. Although each member of Genesis: Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks, had a successful solo career of their own, at the time they chose to write all of the songs which appeared on Invisible Touch together, with each member handling lyrics for each song separately. Subsequently, the 5 singles that were released from Invisible Touch, including the title track, along with Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, Land of Confusion, In Too Deep and Throwing It All Away remain the best known hits from Genesis.  Although the album received mixed reviews, each single charted in the Billboard Hot 100 making Genesis the only band and foreign act at the time, to achieve the feat of five top charting singles, aligning them with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, George Michael and Madonna.
