Released on August 18, 1986 by Mercury Records, in North America, and Vertigo Records, internationally, Slippery When Wet is Bon Jovi's most successful album, and features the band's most well known hits including You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' on a Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive, all of which continue to receive regular airplay on classic rock radio stations, worldwide. Slippery When Wet spent 8 weeks, in the Billboard 200 album charts, and is certified twelve times Platinum ranking it as one of the 100 best selling albums in the United States.
This Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet tee is made from 100% cotton and spotlights a drawn version of the artwork, of the busty woman in a wet t-shirt, that was scheduled to be the official album cover for Slippery When Wet. However, the cover art was changed, immediately prior to the album's release, to a wet garbage bag, for the copies sold in the United States. The artwork seen, on this shirt, was used, for copies sold internationally.
