This Van Halen tshirt is from the hard rock band's 1984 Tour of the World, which was performed to promote their most recent album, at the time, also called 1984, The 1984 album was Van Halen's most successful studio release and was their last, until 2012's A Different Kind of Truth, to feature David Lee Roth as the band's lead singer, as well as the last full length Van Halen album with all four original band members. 1984 peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and featured the only Van Halen song to reach number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100: Jump. In addition, 1984 spawned three other top charting singles including Panama, Hot for Teacher and I'll Wait. 1984 was the first Van Halen album to make synthesizers and keyboards an essential element in the band's songs.
Our Van Halen 1984 Tour of the World tee spotlights the band's screaming eagle logo flying above Earth with Van Halen 1984 Tour of the World, printed on the front. The back highlights the cities and dates for the tour's performances. The shirt is made from 100% white cotton with a red ringer on the neck and sleeves, while the graphics are created with washed out distressed effects, for a true vintage look and feel.
