These concerts were performed to promote Pink Floyd's most recent album, at the time, also titled The Dark Side of the Moon. Considered one of the greatest albums ever recorded, The Dark Side of the Moon contained some of Pink Floyd's career defining hits including Money, Us and Them, Time, and Breathe (In the Air) and spent 741 weeks in the Billboard charts finally falling off in 1988.
