Kiss Announce Final "End of the Road" Tour

Kiss Announce Final "End of the Road" Tour

It might officially be time to say goodbye to KISS.

The classic hard rock band have announced the first 44 dates of what they're calling the  End of the Road tour, and they're chalking it up as being their farewell tour.

The final tour from this legendary band kicks off on Jan. 31, 2019, in Vancouver, Canada and (so far) ends on April 13 in Birmingham, Alabama.

However, this is only the first leg of the tour. The full run of the End of the Road tour is expected to last 3 YEARS! Tickets for the general public go on sale today, November 2.

Kiss saying goodbye after 4 decades... maybe

According to the band, "All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who've filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who've seen us and a last chance for those who haven't. Kiss Army, we're saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we'll go out the same way we came in. ... unapologetic and unstoppable."

Of course, this isn't the first time we've heard KISS might be embarking on a farewell tour. They announced a final tour 19 years ago too. However, it sounds like this one might be different. The band tried to file a trademark for the term "End of the Road," and they confirmed a farewell tour on the hit TV show, America's Got Talent.

Paul, Gene... and who else?

So, the big question that's looming for all KISS fans - which version of the band will actually take part in the End of the Road tour? We're not too sure on that one. As Paul Stanley put it, "This will be a celebration of Kiss and not any individual lineup or any individual members. … I wouldn’t rule anything out, but it’s not the crux of what we’re doing.”

So, even if the touring stops at the conclusion of the End of the Road tour, is there a possibility for new music from the band? Paul Stanley had something to say about that as well, "I think everything we’ve done so far speaks volumes, and it’s enough of a legacy."
