Our Grateful Dead vintage concert hat is from the band's 1990 summer tour performances, at Madison Square Garden, in New York City.
This tour marked a challenging time in Grateful Dead history as the band had lost their long time keyboardist and songwriter, Brent Mydland, to a drug overdose. Both Vince Welnick of The Tubes and famed singer-songwriter and pianist Bruce Hornsby joined the Grateful Dead, to take the place that Brent Mydland's death had left vacant. These new additions wound up turning these six shows, into a truly upbeat event.
Featuring Grateful Dead New York, NY divided by an apple with 90 written in it, our blue Grateful Dead baseball cap is made from 100% cotton with an enzyme-washed polo twill fabric and a strap closure, with a pewter slide thru buckle. The apple graphics have washed out effects for a true vintage look.
