Description

This Grateful Dead tshirt spotlights the Steal Your Face album cover artwork.

Originally released in June, 1976, Steal Your Face is a live concert double album, recorded October 17-24, 1974, at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom, to document the Grateful Dead's "farewell run," as the band planned to go on an indefinite hiatus, following these shows. Garnering the Steal Your Face title from a lyric featured in the Grateful Dead song, He's Gone, which, ironically doesn't appear on Steal Your Face, the album was not, originally, well received by either fans or critics. Mired in sound quality issues, due to the extensive and elaborate speaker system the Grateful Dead had employed on these shows, called the Wall of Sound, Steal Your Face was initially designed to be the soundtrack album to The Grateful Dead Movie, which was a concert film covering these farewell performances. Opinions on Steal Your Face have risen, since its initial release, due to sonically improved reissues, and is currently perceived as an underrated Grateful Dead album.

Our men's unisex Grateful Dead Steal Your Face fashion tee is made from 100% white cotton and features the Grateful Dead's iconic Lightning Skull logo and album name, exactly how they appeared on the front cover of Steal Your Face. This shirt also has a red ringer around the neck and sleeves, for a retro inspired look and feel.
